well lets see whats going on in my life today?  last night i got an email saying that i won a lottery i entered a couple of months ago and i could buy both homerun derby and all-star game tickets this morning.  so i woke up early and bought 4 homerun derby tickets and 2 all-star game tickets b/c that was the max they would allow me to buy.  they were kinda expensive but its a once in a life time opportunity.  my whole family is going with me to the homerun derby and they might even pay for my ticket and say its a part of our vacation that we are going to be going on wed.  and i'm taking a friend with my to the all-star game.  this week just keeps getting better.  monday=homerun derby; tuesday=all-star game;  wednesday=beginning of cruise to the bahamas;  following tuesday=arrive back from cruise.  you cant have much of a better week than that.  ttyl.  bye

this past weekend i had the house all to myself or so i thought.  my mom went to dallas on thur, my brother was at UMARMY all week and the came back on sat and left immediately for San Antonio with my dad where my mom was suppose meet them later on that night.  but she came home instead and made me drive her to San Antonio where we watched his game on sunday but his games on mon and tues got canceled so we drove back home (again i had to drive).  then i joined a frisbee league that plays every tues night at U of H.  so now i play at Champions Forest Baptist church every mon and wed night and at klein every sat morning and every tues at U of H.  so now i spend most of my week playing frisbee and doing my lawn b/c my parents are paying me to do lawn services every week.  i think i've given up on finding a job and my parents are mad at me for that but oh well.  they'll get over it.  i guess thats it for now.  ttyl.  bye

Well today i really screwed up.  i drove my mom and brother to fuddruckers and then to academy to buy some things for our cruise.  well when we got home, i forgot to put the van into park and the van rolled into the garage totally destroying the garage door.  so now i really have to get a job so i can pay for that and the frisbee team.  the door is going to be about $600 and i figure i need at least $500 for the frisbee team so i'm going to be checking every possibly for jobs.  this really sucks.  on top of that, i'm not going to the aggie baseball game v. lsu this weekend either.  so i'm going to be stuck at home this weekend watching them on tv (hopefully with a job).  well thats my bad day so ttyl.  bye

well this weekend i went to watch Aggie baseball at rice in their ncaa regional playoffs.  we were ranked as the 2nd place team going in with rice as the 1st team and #4 in the nation so we werent suppose get out of the region but i decided since it was so close to me that i would go and root for my team.  i went on friday night but there was a 2 and a half hour lightning delay in the first game b/w rice and tsu.  and at the time rice was losing 4-3 in the bot of the 9th so i stuck around through out the entire delay.  when they finally resumed play, rice eventually got the bases loaded with 2 outs but luckily grounded out to 2nd for the final out.  from that point on i knew we had a great chance of making it out of the region.  well our game ended up starting at 10 when it was scheduled to start at 7.  we only got through 4 innings before more storms postponed the game to sat morning but we were safely ahead 6-0 at that point so i didnt get up early to watch the rest of the game on sat morning.  we ended up killing them 14-3.  next we played tsu who just beat rice so we couldnt take them lightly even though their record was 18-33.  we smashed them too 7-1 so it was on to sunday where we only had to win 1 of 2 against rice to make it out the region.  my friend, brother, and i all decided to go.  the first game was close throughout, but their pitching was superb and they won 3-1.  the second was the most exciting game i have ever been to.  they got on the board early and went ahead 1-0 but our starting pitcher Jason Meyer was phenomenal the 7.1 innings he pitched.  we ended up grabbing a 3-1 lead off of a pinch-hit double by Matt Alexander who filled in for our freshman sensation Austin Boggs whose legs gave out b/c of cramps and was unable to stand.  then in the 7th rice managed to hit a 2 run homer to dampen our spirits and tie the game.  then in the 8th we brought in a lefty freshman pitcher from tomball hs, Blake Rampy, to face their lefty with a man on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out.  he did his job by making him pop up.  then we brought in our other freshman pitcher from tomball hs, Doug Frame, to their righty but unfortunately he got hit with a single that scored both guys and put them up 5-3.  well by this time rice had in their star pitcher who throughing 95 mph and we hadnt been able to hit this guy in the 2 previous innings.  well, the first 3 guys up in the 8th all hit singles to load the bases.  then our #8 hitter in the line up popped up.  so our #9 hitter, our worst hitter, came up and hit a 1st pitch fastball over the wall in the right field for a grand slam homerun and the place just erupted.  never before have i ever seen a place go crazy like that especially in the another teams stadium.  we brought in yet another freshman pitcher, Kyle Nicholson, to close it up in the 9th.  the 1st batter grounded out, the 2nd popped out, and 3rd struckout and the party began.  we took pictures and got autographs with the team and celebrated with everybody whether we knew them or not.  even though i was badly sunburned by that time, i had never felt so good in my entire life.  what rush!!  now we go on the face LSU in baton rouge, LA this weekend for a best of 3 series and the winner goes on to the College World Series.  i have been thinking about going since its only a 6 hour drive and just camping out all weekend.  its going to be awesome.  well that was my weekend so ttyl.  bye

well another week of looking for a job has come and gone without any luck.  I really dont know what i'm going to know.  this just sux.  well on the bright side i am reffing all day tom and sun and will get paid a shit load of money for just 2 days of work so as long as i find a job soon, it wont really matter.  i just need to find one now.  its time to stop being picky and just get paid some money.  well the astros finally came out of their slump to sweep a 2 game set against the cubs but only to lose their 1st game against the cards on a bock called in the 10th against dotel.  man do we have to get rid of him as a closer.  i keep saying that and everytime i do, i believe it more and more.  oh well, i dont think he'll ever be our set man ever again so i guess im stuck with him.  well thats all i can think of now so ttyl.  bye

well lets see....this whole week has been devoted to looking for a waiter job.  i went to pappadeaux, pappasitos, champs, chiles, bj's, olive garden, macaroni grill, rockfish, outback, and some others.  all arent looking for just summer help or couldnt get a hold of my references.  this suck b/c now im going to have to go back to the stupid grocery stores.  maybe this time i'll just be a stocker and work the graveyard shifts.  that would be totally awesome b/c im used to staying up all night and sleeping all day.  ask my roommate and now my parents.  hahah.  well i've found some guys that play frisbee every sat morning and wed night.  i love it.  its my new most favorite sport to play.  this is the whole reason why i want a job now.  so i can pay to be on the A&M frisbee team.  its going to cost me about $500 for the year, with membership fees and traveling expenses so i really need to find a job b/c i am broke, absolutely broke!  well today i went to college station to watch the baseball team play t.u.  we lost 12-9 but only b/c of 3 stupid errors, not b/c they outplayed us.  it was a very exciting game with the lead changing hands quite a few times and 6 homers, 3 for each team.  we had a fly over by 3      F-16's flown by aggies that had just gotten back from iraq.  it was amazing.  i love being an aggie!  im going back to college station tom for the final game against t.u.  hopefully we'll actually win and finish strong.  t.u. is the second rank team in the nation, but then again we're the 9th ranked the nation so we can beat them.  i just want to see some good pitching by us b/c it has been a very long time since i've seen someone pitch very well for us.  well im leaving at 11 tom for the 2 game so i better get some rest.  ttyl.  bye

Today i woke up early and went to church.  then came home and watched Roger Clemens pitch the best game of his astro career.  he went 7 innings giving up only 2 hits and no runs.  but dotel had give up a 2 run homer in the 9th inning with 2 outs to mike piazza and then the mets won in the 13th innning on a homer off of Brandon Backe.  i have now officially lost all respect for Octavio Dotel as a closer.  they to switch dotel and Brad Lidge.  lidge has better numbers and throws a faster fastball with of course a deadly curve ball.  he'd be perfect for closing and then dotel could go back to set up man where he's been for the past 2 years.  he's been lights out as the set up man too.  so he just needs to go back there and let lidge take his spot.  i, and many thousands of astros fans out there, would feel a lot better about ourselves the next time that roger clemens gives a lead to our bullpen.  well, im done blowing off steam now so im going to bed.  ttyl.  bye

Today i woke up at 830 to go play some ultimate with some guys ranging from mid 20s to 40s.  they were actually pretty good so it was a very good work out for a couple hours.  then i came back and showered and rested until 2 when i went to the Y to work out even more.  i left there at about 4 and went out to eat with my dad on our way to the astros game.  there we watched the astros break a 3 game losing streak against the mets with andy pettite winning the game 7-4.  it was an ugly game but nevertheless i'll take the victory.  then i came home and watched the last half hour of Stuck on You that my mom and brother were watching.  that is a very stupid movie.  i dont recommend it to anybody.  finally i am going to bed so i can get up early again to go to church.  ttyl.  bye

well today was my last final.  it was in psyc which is the class that i will be getting the worst grade in.  ironically it is the only test that i think i did really well on.  if all the rest of the psyc tests were as easy as this one was then i would have an A psyc instead of a C.  well it took me 2 hours to get all my stuff down 4 flights of stairs and down the street into my car.  and b/c of the rain it was very humid which made moving very difficult but an excellent workout.  so i'm back at home for the summer now.  im going to miss everybody but will see them again in a couple of months.  i figure if i was able to make it without seeing my gf for a whole month then i can make it without seeing the guys for a couple of months.  i still have a few friends that live in houston so i wont be totally bored and im going to get a job tom so that will occupy a lot of time and give me plenty of spending money, mainly for the frisbee team and all the trips we take.  well i got the dorm i wanted for next year:  walton A2.  im gonna have blast and i cant wait.  i wish it started now.  well im off to bed now.  ttyl.  bye

well today was a miserable day.  not only did it rain all day but i had to wake up at 730 for my hist final and then had my accounting final at 330.  did alright on both of them.  just psyc left for tom at 1 then coming home for the summer and finding a job.  well one story i forgot to mention.  my ex-gf's twin sister is getting married to my cousin.  she's throwing her life away.  i learned today that the only person in her family that knows is my ex-gf.  she plans to just leave and elope so they cant stop her from doing it.  her grandparents arent going to pay for her college now and my cousin is in the navy so his paycheck isnt nearly enought to support one person let alone 2 people.  plus my cousin is not the kind of guy that is going to be happy with just one girl for the rest of his life especially since he's 6 months younger than i am.  i almost feel like doing both of them a favor and telling her parents but i wont b/c it will just make me look like a jackass and i really dont want to get involved with that family again.  so its 3 in the morning and i have a psyc final in 10 hours and i havent looked at the material in over 2 weeks.  so im either going to bed and waking up early to study or study now and go to bed really late.  either which way ttyl.  bye
